The Wooing Tree is a local landmark that sits prominently in the middle of this family's central Otago vineyard. It has long been a place for locals to woo their lovers, and if it could talk, would have many a story to tell!
These days it is not quite the private spot it once was, but there are still plenty of visitors proposing marriage and even getting married under the beautiful iconic tree, amidst the vines.
This unique blanc de noir was made from 100% pinot noir grapes. The elegant champagne colour resulted from minimal skin contact prior to a gentle whole bunch press.
Stylish, rich and heavenly textured, this is a lively, exciting wine. Drenched in stonefruit flavours, there are charming floral hints at the edge of the picture that keep it all in check.
Fun fact - This is Reese Witherspoon's favourite NZ wine.
