Mt Rosa was the original ram paddock for Kawarau Station in Otago's Gibbston Valley.
Rumour had it that the valley was one of the better spots to grow pinot noir grapes, so almost twenty years ago they sent the last of the sheep off to greener paddocks, and planted some vines.
Their 2016 pinot has dark blackcurrant, spice and violet aromatics leading to an elegant mineral infused palate showing vibrancy, depth and poise.
